Hotel Puri Melaka, Malacca

I couldn't have asked for a better spot – right in the heart of China town, this hotel perfectly blends tradition with modernity. The rooms were spotlessly clean and quiet, making for a comfortable stay. The service, especially at the attached cafe, was top-notch and responded lightning-fast to our needs. The dining experience was good, though with limited options. Overall, a great value for the fantastic location and welcoming service.

The hotel is situated in the heart of the Old Town, making it a perfect place to experience Melaka away from the usual chain hotels. While the rooms are on the smaller side, they are basic and spacious, ideal for a cozy stay. The service is top-notch and responsive to any needs, although some areas could use improvement. The dining options provide a mix of eastern and western choices, although a greater variety of fruits would have been appreciated. Exploring the nearby antique market on Third Cross Street adds to the charming location, with the night market just a stone's throw away.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. It offered a secure parking spot, which was great, but the rooms were very basic, dark, and unfortunately full of mosquitoes, which was quite unexpected for a 4-star accommodation. The hotel's service, however, was top-notch with incredibly helpful and accommodating staff members like Michael Quay, Tracy, Kenny, and Wan who were always there to assist with a smile. The location was unbeatable, just a 2-minute walk to Jonker Street, providing easy access to the vibrant area, even though the acoustics were less than ideal. The dining options were a bit limited and could use some improvement. The overall value for money was decent with some room for enhancement in certain areas.

My stay at the hotel was quite pleasant overall. The rooms provided all the essential amenities like a hair-dryer, security locker, and a mini-fridge, but they didn't quite match up with the impressive lobby. The historical exhibition towards the end of the hotel was a nice touch, adding to the experience.
